Christmas

Christmas was a little different then what we had expected this year.  Christmas Eve - Jennifer and I pulled off Christmas Even dinner with help from my wonderful mother-in-law!  We attended Christmas Eve service at our awesome church,  Cedarcrest.  Jennifer and Avery spent the night with us on Christmas Eve, so that my dad could come over and watch all of the kids at once celebrate and open presents.  We missed our mom, but the BEST part of Christmas Day 2013 was getting to take the kids to visit my mom for the first time since her stroke.

My sweet girl all ready for Christmas Eve  church!

One of my ALL time favorite pictures of the three of them!  Avery is BEAUTIFUL, Camryn is actually looking and smiling, and Reed is looking at Camryn like how can I get that apple?!

Rice Cereal

Reed had his first attempt at rice cereal back in December.  It didn't go over very well.  I quickly moved to oatmeal, and unfortunately he hates that too!!  So far his eating habits are completely different from Camryn's because that girl LOVED oatmeal!

The end of 2013 & a new beginning in 2014

I am so sorry it has been so long since I have blogged about my babies!  So much has happened in the last six weeks - its hard to even know where to begin!

On Friday December 13th around 11:00am- I was in the Auxillary gym at North Paulding High School and I received a call from my Dad's Cell.  I answered immediately because Dad never calls me at work, and it was then that he told me my mom has suffered a stroke and I needed to come get the kids.  In sheer panic- I sprinted out of the gym to the main office and told them I needed to leave.  I rushed to my parents house so that my dad could get to my mom in the ER.  Its funny how quickly your whole life can be turned upside down.  My sister met me at my parents house, and we waited there until Adam arrived to take Camryn and Reed.  Jennifer and I arrived at Kennestone Hospital to see our mother.  She was unable to speak, paralyzed on the right side, and didn't really know what was going on.  She stayed at Kennestone Hospital until December 23rd when she was transferred to the Shepherd Spinal Center.  Her expectant discharge date from the Shepherd Center is February 5th.  She has made some significant improvements, but still is unable to walk or move her right arm.  Her speech has definitely made improvements, but she is still affected significantly by aphasia.  The stroke happened in her basal ganglia.  It was a brain bleed, not a clot so the damage is more severe.

My family is speechless over the outpouring amounts of love, care, prayers, and positive thoughts that people are sending to us and our mother.  Please continue to pray for her recovery.  We know through our Lord's healing hands that she is capable of so much more than the doctors expect!

Christmas Photo Shoot

I signed up for a mini Santa session, before I knew that we would get in with the Phipps Santa!  Camryn isn't a big fan of the jolly old man right now not to mention she woke up cranky from her nap, so it was a pretty rough afternoon!  (Thanks to Nonni & TOTY who tried their hardest to get Camryn to smile)  Since the kids looked really cute- Adam and I decided to wear nice attire as well so we took a few family shots.  (once again thanks to Nonni & TOTY who worked REALLY hard to try to get Camryn to smile)

Pretty good smile!

Thats my girl!

Thanksgiving

We are truly blessed with wonderful family and friends.  We are so thankful for each and everyone of you!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We were so lucky that Grandpa & Grandma Reed came down from Washington to visit us.  Adam and I loved playing cards with them and really enjoy the new game we learned!  We had the usual Thanksgiving then Jennifer and I finished up the day by going shopping!

Love these three kiddos!

Camryn is so happy to be holding Avery's hand!

Just trying to get a good family photo - SILLY FACES!

Happy Man!

Still trying to get Camryn to calm down!

Now its just funny!

First ever kids table!  Didn't go over well with Camryn who sat down for all of 3 minutes!

Grandpa Reed holding Reed!

3 months old & Gymnastics

It has been a busy month, so I apologize for not posting more and not posting often.
I went back to work on Reed's 3 month birthday!  It has definitely been an adjustment and I am missing my babies a lot.  I am definitely ready for winter break that is two weeks away.  We had a busy November!  Camryn tried out gymnastics!  She did great once she got over the fact that I wasn't with her.  I haven't officially signed her up for the class yet, but I need to!  We traveled to Alabama to celebrate Adam's grandma's 80th Birthday!  Happy Birthday Martha!  We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Smiling because I bribed her with my phone!

All ready to go!

Working on her puzzle!

Kisses for Reed!
Reed is such a joy and a great baby!  He is really laid back, and truly only fusses if he is tired or hungry.  As you can tell from the pictures - he misses a lot of meals!  ;)  He has really started to discover his voice and smiles a lot!  He also LOVES to watch football with his daddy!
Big man!

Loving these ties!

He was tired.  Since I started back to work on this day- we didn't do the photo shoot until after I picked them up from my moms!
