28 Week Appointment/ Glucose Test

Today I had my 28 week appointment.  Everything was great with Baby J.  Baby J's heartbeat was great- in the 140's.  I measured at 30 weeks instead of 28, so we get to have another ultrasound!  Woo hoo!  Before I went to my appointment- I had to start the glucose test.  I had to basically drink a flat orange soda within 5 minutes.  The taste wasn't bad, but I am not a fast drinker (in fact Adam makes fun of me for this all the time, so do my volleyball players) so I was worried about being able to drink it fast enough.  Luckily- I handled it and went back a hour later & had my blood drawn.  I do not have the results yet, but hopefully they are good because I really do not want to go back for a 3 hour appointment.

New Rocker & New Stool

Baby J has been spoiled a little this week.  On Sunday Grandma Heidi dropped off a BEAUTIFUL rocker for Baby J then on Wednesday Mimi sent Baby J an adorable giraffe stool.  Here are pictures of both:

Volleyball Baby Shower

Volleyball season has ended, but some of my volleyball girls were extremely sweet and planned a surprise baby shower for Baby J!  I didn't get any pictures, but they were so thoughtful.  It was after school one day, and they had some snacks and drinks.  They all pitched in their "own" money and bought Baby J his/her diaper champ & twilight turtle.  I am so lucky to have such thoughtful girls & so many wonderful baby sitters in the future!

26 Week Appointment

Adam and I went yesterday for my 26 week appointment.  It was just the routine check-up.  I got weighed (oh the joy), measured, & we got to hear Baby J's heartbeat.  I actually measured at 28 weeks- my doctor said if I measure big again next time that she'll schedule me for an ultrasound.  Baby J's heartbeat was in the 130's!  Two week appointments start up now, so I got back again on the 27th- which includes the icky glucose test.  This weekend- I get to help throw a Baby Shower for Baby G.  Baby G is due about 2 weeks after Baby J - we are so excited for him/her to grow up with Baby J.

Nursery Completed!

Adam has been working on the nursery really hard.  It has been difficult to find the time with work, volleyball, & weddings lately, but today he did it!  :)  He finished the nursery!  He finished up all the painting & I hung up the figures while he played golf!  The only other thing we need to add is a rocker.  We hope Baby J loves it!

Weddings Galore

Adam and I have had three weddings to attend so far this Fall.  Here are some pictures from Adam & Jess' wedding!  A big congratulations goes out to Jagen & Alison as well!  We are excited for Lauren & Dave to finally tie the knot this Saturday as well- so happy for all of our friends!

24 Week Belly Update

Yesterday Baby J & I hit the 24 week mark!  We are 6 months along!  Here are some updated belly shots.  Baby J is growing & this week is supposedly the size of an ear of corn.
