Baby J @ 19 weeks!

 Adam & I went for the 19 week ultrasound yesterday.  This was the ultrasound where we could have found out what we are having.  I was really proud of us for sticking to our guns & not finding out.  Adam did ask the ultrasound tech after it was over if she could tell - she said oh yes - it was on the screen like 10 times.  Obviously we didn't notice, but then again - we were mesmerized by everything else on the screen & not really looking for the "it" parts!

16 Week Belly Pictures

 Adam & I started taking belly pictures at 16 weeks.  We decided that we are going to take them every 4 weeks.  Don't mind my fabulous hair & make-up job!  :)

My volleyball players are good at telling me every day how much bigger my belly has gotten.  I think there will be quite a difference at 20 weeks!

Update on Baby J

We had another appointment this past week.  We got to hear Baby J's heartbeat again!

It was 151 this time.  :)

Our next appointment is in August- we will have an ultrasound!  Belly picture are starting next week- stay tuned!

Hilton Head

Every summer we go to Hilton Head with my family!  We always have such a wonderful time.  We go to the beach, eat out a few nights, but the best times are just hanging around the family!

Screening & Ultrasound

Today I went in for my 1st trimester screening.
Along with drawing blood- they did an ultrasound.  The tech did the ultrasound for about 30 minutes- Baby J was being very stubborn (he/she gets that from his/her father) and wouldn't move to the optimal position.  So I just got to enjoy looking and seeing everything!

I got to see the hands, arms, legs, stomach, bladder, the beginning of the spine, heartbeat, and most importantly- I got to see Baby J just moving around.  At one point- Baby J had the hiccups - it was hilarious.

I am posting two pictures- I don't think they are the greatest, but a picture is a picture!

In this picture you can see Baby J's profile.  The hand is by the face - the individual white marks are fingers!

Another side view of Baby J - you can see his/her head and the white mark by the nose is once again the hand.  The hand was by his/her face the ENTIRE ultrasound.

Heartbeat

Friday July 1st- our next appointment.

I was 11 weeks and 2 days at the time.  My doctor said that she was going to try and hear the heartbeat, but it was a good possibility that we might not be able to. 

After a few minutes (seemed like forever) and a lot of movement by Baby J - we heard the heartbeat again.  Baby J's heart was beating in the 160's!

Now- Adam and I are not finding out the sex of Baby J, so if anyone would like to make their predictions - go ahead & guess now!  :)

First Ultrasound!

We had our first ultrasound on Friday June 3rd!  We got to hear the heartbeat and see our baby for the first time.  Words cannot describe how excited Adam and I are!
