24 Week Belly Update

Yesterday Baby J & I hit the 24 week mark!  We are 6 months along!  Here are some updated belly shots.  Baby J is growing & this week is supposedly the size of an ear of corn.

Baby J @ 22 weeks!

Adam and I had another appointment this past Wednesday.  They did the usual check-up.  They checked my weight and we got to hear Baby J's heartbeat.  They also started measuring my belly.  It measured at exactly 22 weeks.  Adam was pretty intrigued by that system.  I'll let you all know if he starts to pull out a tape measure every week!  I have gained a total of 13lbs so far & the nurse kept encouraging me to eat.  Baby J's heartbeat was in the 140's again!  

Other exciting news:  Adam got to feel Baby J move for the first time Wednesday night.  It was pretty cool for me.  I have felt the flutters for a few weeks, and I had been lucky enough to feel a few kicks on the outside.  I told him to put his hand on my belly & to wait patiently.  There was one small kick and he said, "Was that it?"  I said, "Yup!"  Then Baby J gave me a good kick & Adam said, "Whoa!"  Great moment!  :)

Elton John

Mimi & Grandpa came to visit!  They brought lots of presents for Baby J!  We were super excited to see them because we haven't gotten to see them since July.  (We are really missing Jennifer, RJ, & Avery Grace)  We got to go to the Elton John concert & it was lots of fun.  I think Grandpa & Mimi had a great time.

Nursery Continued

We (I) wanted to add beadboard to the bottom half of Baby J's room.  Grandpa C and Adam worked really hard one Saturday.  They had to take all the baseboards off and then get the beadboard up.  Baby J's room is really coming along.

Adam called in some reinforcements!  We love Wilds Restoration & Craig for ALWAYS helping us out!  Craig put the baseboards back on, corner pieces on, & the chair rail!

Big Brother Dexter wasn't allowed in the room when Grandpa Craig or Adam was working in Baby J's room.  He waited here on the top of the stairwell basically all day long.  Every time the boys would go down - he would go down & then immediately back up when the boys came back up!  Good boy Dex!

Nursery Painted

I found a GROUPON for $90 to have one room painted.  I definitely bought it & we used it to paint Baby J's room.  In the long run- it saved Adam a lot of headache from me about getting it done!  Here is what Baby J's room looked like after it got painted!

20 Week Belly Update

Nursery Before

Now that Adam & I have hit the halfway point- we are going to start working on the nursery.  I found an GROUPON for painting, which is taking place as I type this.  Adam & his dad are going to put wainscoting up on Saturday!  Curtains & such have been ordered & hopefully get delivered soon!
